Prometheus is a Titan, culture hero, and trickster figure who in Greek mythology is credited with the creation of man from clay and the theft of fire for human use, an act that enabled progress and civilization. He is known for his intelligence, and as a champion of mankind.
The Prometheus myth first appeared in Hesiod’s 8th century BC Greek poem Theogony. Prometheus was a challenger to Zeus's power, who tricked the King of the Gods during a sacrificial meal . Zeus retaliated by hiding fire from humans and Prometheus in turn stole fire in a giant fennel stalk and gave it back to mankind.
Prometheus, in eternal punishment, is chained to a rock, where his liver is eaten daily by an eagle, only to be regenerated by night due to his immortality. Years later, the Greek hero Heracles (Hercules) slays the eagle and frees Prometheus from his chains.
In the 5th century BC the scope of Prometheus' transgressions against Zeus were widened. In addition to giving humankind fire, Prometheus claimed to have taught them the arts of civilization, such as writing, mathematics, agriculture, medicine, and science.
Paul Manship’s sculpture featured in the Sunken Plaza of the Rockefeller Centre portrays Prometheus holding the fire stolen from Zeus and gliding towards humanity. He lies inside a ring in which are outlined the signs of the Zodiac. Behind the statue is an inscription saying:
“Prometheus, teacher in every art, brought the fire that hath proved to mortals a means to mighty ends.”
The symbology of fire representing the enlightement Prometheus gave to mankind is core to the philosophy of the world’s elite, who understand the hermetic teachings of Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism and Illuminism.
Another symbol for enlightement or illumination is the planet Venus. After the Moon, it is the brightest natural object in the night sky. Venus reaches its maximum brightness shortly before sunrise or shortly after sunset, for which reason it has been known as the Morning Star or Evening Star. Lucifer (as a noun) means "light-bearer" (from the words lucem ferre). It was the name given to the Morning Star, i.e. the planet Venus when seen at dawn.
Use of Prometheus or Luciferian symbology (they are somewhat interchangable) by the world's elite acknowledges the power of knowledge and intellect. Secret societies have formed throughout history to protect ancient wisdom and preserve the status quo of the power hierarchy. The following quote is from Albert Pike’s Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darknesss! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual or selfish Souls? Doubt it not!
Pike observes that Lucifer is a strange name to give to the spirit of darkness (the devil). This is because the high adepts know that the original (and nowadays esoteric) meaning of Lucifer is Venus, the morning star. Of course it helps to discredit opponents if those opponents mistakenly go around warning everyone that Freemasons are secret devil worshippers.
Dictionary definitians celebrate Promethian characteristics:
adj. 1. Greek Mythology Relating to or suggestive of Prometheus
2. Boldly creative; defiantly original
n. One who is boldy creative or defiantly original in behaviour or actions
Freemasons are a cunning bunch, but once the symbols are decoded the power of those symbols is lost. Not everyone who uses a torch symbol is part of an initiate group but if we look at the centres of power in the world, its remarkable how often Prometheus or his torch pops up.
The Rockefeller family are particularly fond of Prometheus' flame, which appeared on their Standard Oil company logo, the torch was retained when Standard Oil of Indiana became Amoco after other mergers and a name change in the 1980s. This torch logo has all but disappeared now because Amoco merged with BP in 1998 and the BP logo prevailed.
American financier, banker and partner of J.P. Morgan, Anthony Drexel, founded Drexel University, which prominently features Prometheus' torch in its logo. Following Drexel's death, Drexel, Morgan & Co. was renamed J.P. Morgan & Co. and is one of the original predecessors of what is today JPMorgan Chase. In the 1890s, the bank financed the formation of the United States Steel Corporation, which took over the business of Andrew Carnegie and others and was the world's first billion-dollar corporation.
Perhaps the most revealing uses of Prometheus' torch are at the tomb of John F Kennedy and at the memorial to Lady Diane in Paris. Additional esoteric symbolism at both these locations suggests the presence of eternal flames are more than mere coincidence, but that is for another article. It is worth mentioning that there is also a flame on top of the obelisk in Dealey Plaza, Dallas where JFK was killled.
Greek gods are symbolic of the ruling class and mankind represents their subjects. Prometheus is an immortal (a member of the ruling families) who betrayed his own kin by showing too much empathy for his people. To the Illuminati then Prometheus is a villain, not a hero, and deserved his punishment.
On April 27, 1961 JFK made a public speech about the power of secret societies and the world-wide conspiracy threatening the American people. In January 1997, pictures of Diana touring an Angolan minefield in a ballistic helmet and flak jacket were seen worldwide. It was during this campaign that some accused her of meddling in politics and declared her a 'loose cannon'. Diane is also rumoured to have been about to declare public support for the Palestinians in direct opposition to the Rothschild Zionist cause.
The mark of Prometheus commemorating the deaths of both JFK and Diane can be seen as a warning to other Illuminati members not to deviate from their mission of global domination and enslavement.
Eternal flames are frequently used at war memorials; below are 3 examples where symbology suggests esoteric knowledge was behind the design. In Melborne the flame is accompanied by a pyramid without a capstone; in Stalingrad the Prometheus myth is represented directly, and in Moscow the flame sits at the centre of a pentagram.
One would expect the symbology of secret societies protecting ancient wisdom and powerful 21st century knowledge to show at the highest levels of establishment hierarchy and one would not be disappointed. Here is a collection of symbols which suggests allegance to secret orders is alive and well in the political establishment.
In 1949 the architect of the US Capitol began extensive remodeling in the Senate Chamber. As part of this project, Maryland sculptor Lee Lawrie, one of the premier American artists of his day, was selected to design relief panels for placement above the three entrance doors in the Chamber. Each panel had a different carver, with Edward H. Ratti of the Bronx, New York, selected to execute "Wisdom" on location in the Chamber. The other panels are "Courage" and "Patriotism".
Social control is most efficiently achieved through mass media so one might look for Hermetic symbols in the TV, newspaper and film industries. One would not be disappointed.
Prometheus' torch can be found in other logos too. Here's a small compilation of some of the most interesting.
Last, but by no means least, the story (like all good ones) has a twist in the tail. Below are logos of Scholars for 911 Truth sporting the by now familiar symbol. Could it be that even the truth movement has been infiltrated by the Illuminati working to keep knowledge secret in order to protect their power? Of course it could. If you haven't reviewed the work of Dr Judy Wood, Andrew Johnson and John Hutchinson, then there are interesting lessons still to be learned about 911.
