Part 6.  Illuminati

Terry Melanson maintains an excellent website on the history of the Order of the Illuminati [1] , including information taken from the secret society’s own documents.  Melanson has also taken the time to produce an article which explains the inaccuracies in Wikipedia’s page on the Illuminati [2]. The news media doesn’t report seriously on the Order, preferring instead to make fun of those who talk about it. [3]

When the Illuminati is reported in the press it is treated as a joke

The Illuminati was formed by Adam Weishaupt in 1776 in Bavaria in southern Germany. Weishaupt planned to infiltrate and take over the Freemasons as part of a plan to overthrow existing governments and religions… a plan for world domination. [4]

“Do you realize sufficiently what it means to rule – to rule in a secret society? Not only over the lesser or more important of the populace, but over the best of men, over men of all ranks, nations, and religions, to rule without external force, to unite them indissolubly, to breathe one spirit and soul into them, men distributed over all parts of the world? . . . And finally, do you know what secret societies are? What a place they occupy in the great kingdom of the world’s events? Do you think they are unimportant, transitory appearances?” - Adam Weishaupt, Nachtrag von weitern Originalschriften, II, pp. 44, 51.

Weishaupt’s Illuminati operated in the same way as the Assassins, the Templars and the Freemasons: there were several grades or degrees through which a member progressed and the teachings of each were to be kept secret from outsiders and from those in lower degrees.  Recruits were required to keep notes on all their subordinates and on themselves for their superior, so that the entire organisation was an information gathering network dedicated to spying on its own members.  Today the all seeing eye has changed from representing the ancient secret of shamanism and spiritual enlightenment to representing Illuminati surveillance of the general public by satellite, CCTV and internet as illustrated below:

Congress of Wilhelmsbad

On July 16, 1782 the Congress of Wilhelmsbad convened. Probably the most significant event of the era as far as any official coalition between secret society factions:

“…it was not until the Congress de Wilhelmsbad that the alliance between Illuminism and Freemasonry was finally sealed….What passed at this terrible Congress will never be known to the outside world, for even those men who had been drawn unwittingly into the movement, and now heard for the first time the real designs of the leaders, were under oath to reveal nothing. One such honest Freemason, the Comte de Virieu, a member of Martiniste Lodge at Lyons, returning from the Congre’s de Wilhelmsbad could not conceal his alarm, and when questioned on the ‘tragic secrets’ he had brought back with him, replied: ‘I will not confide them to you. I can only tell you that all this is very much more serious than you think. The conspiracy which is being woven is so well thought out that it will be, so to speak, impossible for the monarchy and the Church to escape from it.” From this time onwards, says his biographer, M. Costa de Beauregard, ‘the Comte de Virieu could only speak of Freemasonry with horror.’” (Nesta H. Webster. World Revolution – The Plot Against Civilization, p. 18.)

Illuminati Persecution and Survival

The Elector of Bavaria, Duke Carl Theodore, became aware of The Illuminati and confiscated a large number of the Order’s documents. The Duke issued edicts against Illuminati members in 1784, 1785 and 1787. Often the news media will claim that the illuminati disbanded in 1785 when Weishaupt fled Bavaria. What the media do not say is that Weishaupt “fled across the border to Regensburg, and finally settled at Gotha” under the protection of Illuminati member Duke of Saxe-Gotha - The European Illuminati, from New England and the Bavarian Illuminati, by Vernon L. Stauffer Ph.D., 1918.

Thirteen years later Augustine Barruel wrote, “[Weishaupt] now banished from his country as a traitor to his Prince and to the whole Universe, peacefully at the court of Ernest Lewis, Duke of Saxe Gotha, enjoys an asylum, receives a pension from the public treasury, and is dignified with the title of Honorary Councellor to that Prince.” - Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism, by Augustin Barruel, 1798, Real-View-Books Classics Reprint, 2002 edition.

It was not only Baurrel who was convinced that the Illuminati survived. In 1797 Edinburgh University professor and Freemason John Robison published a book called Proofs of a Conspiracy against all the Religions and Governments of Europe, carried on in the Secret Meetings of Free-Masons, Illuminati and Reading Societies, etc., collected from good authorities, Edinburgh, 1797.

I have observed these doctrines gradually diffusing and mixing with all the different systems of Free Masonry; till, at last, an association has been formed for the express purpose of rooting out all the religious establishments, and overturning all the existing governments of Europe. I have seen this Association exerting itself zealously and systematically, till it has become almost irresistible: And I have seen that the most active leaders in the French Revolution were members of this Association, and conducted their first movements according to its principles, and by means of its instructions and assistance, formerly requested and obtained: And, lastly, I have seen that this Association still exists, still works in secret, and that not only several appearances among ourselves show that its emissaries are endeavoring to propagate their detestable doctrines among us, but that the Association has Lodges in Britain corresponding with the mother Lodge at Munich ever since 1784.

The Association of which I have been speaking, is the Order of Illuminati, founded in 1775, by Dr. Adam Weishaupt, professor of Canon law in the university of Ingolstadt, and abolished in 1786 by the Elector of Bavaria, but revived immediately after, under another name, and in a different form, all over Germany. It was again detected, and seemingly broken up; but it had by this time taken so deep root that it still subsists without being detected, and has spread into all the countries of Europe. It took its first rise among the Free Masons, but is totally different from Free Masonry. It was not, however, the mere protection gained by the secrecy of the Lodges that gave occasion to it, but it arose naturally from the corruptions that had gradually crept into that fraternity, the violence of the party-spirit which pervaded it, and from the total uncertainty and darkness that hangs over the whole of that mysterious Association." [5]

French Revolution

D. Jeaurat's painting called Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the Symbols of the French Revolution is shown below. Rousseau is represented as the author of the Social Contract and the philosopher who promoted the regeneration of natural sentiments and values against the corrupting influences of urban society.  The eye of vigilance is below him and an altar dedicated to the rights of man is guarded by a soldier and a canon.  The rising, glowing light in the foreground suggest the regeneration of social justice; two figures hand in hand represent the sign of unity, while a dog, symbol of faithfulness, and a horn of plenty are also included.  A pyramid gravestone probably represents secret society members who died during the revolution.

The above painting also features a bundle of pikes with a phrygrian (or liberty) cap on top that represents the fasces - a symbol of power and authority and a tribute to the Roman Republic.  The phrygian cap is a symbol of shamanism; the Liberty Cap mushroom is a psychedelic (or magic) mushroom that contains the psychoactive compounds psilocybin and baeocystin. Of the world's psilocybin mushrooms, it is the most common in nature, and one of the most potent.  Immediately to the left of the fasces is the Tree of Liberty.

One of the most obvious recent Illuminati monuments is located in a suburb of Toulouse in France; the Place de la Révolution was built in 1989 to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the French Revolution.  Place de la Révolution is a huge layered pyramid hovering on top of a map of the world, dominating it. There are 13 layers of the pyramid, just as there are 13 degrees in the York Rite of Freemasonry. The bottom layers of the pyramid represent lower degrees while the top two, which are separated by a divider, represent the Illuminati – the secret society within a secret society operating at the highest level. From the pyramid capstone, water descends from one layer to another, representing instruction flowing from the top down.  A square is cut out of the centre of the pyramid representing the all seeing eye.

In front of the pyramid are two bronze tablets; at the top of the tablet on the left, there is a circular pattern that includes the (official) symbol for Venus. [6]

The plate which joins both tablets, close to their base, bears one of the biggest accomplishments of modern illuminism: the Declaration of Human Rights. In a documentary on Masonic monuments in Paris, Jacques Ravenne, a French author and high level Freemason said:“The Declaration of Human Rights, which was created in France and gradually adopted around the world, was conceived, discussed and written in Masonic lodges before being released to the public. One can retrace those Masonic origins by the use of symbols, which bear little significance to the profane but are extremely important to the initiate.” [7]

The creators of Place de la Révolution inscribed 2 statements at the base of the tablets.  On the left is TEMPLE DE LA SAGESSE SUPREME ERIGE EN MEMOIRE DE LA REVOLUTION which means TEMPLE OF SUPREME WISDOM ERECTED IN MEMORY OF THE REVOLUTION.  On the right is: "Le bonheur est dans l'angle ou les sages sont assembles" which means "Happiness is in the angle where the wise are gathered" and is presumably a reference to Illuminati members living at the top of the pyramid.

Owl of Minerva

One important symbol of Weishaupt’s Illuminati was the Owl of Minerva.  Athena (or Minerva to the Romans), the goddess of wisdom, honoured the owl as her sacred bird.  It was recognized as an emblem of penetrating sight and intelligence [8].  Candidates advanced from Novice to the Minerval degree, where they were properly vetted, scrutinized, and indoctrinated. The Quibus Licet notebooks were introduced, maintained and thoroughly kept (which eventually turned into a detailed history of yourself and those around you).  Members were admonished to gain wisdom from figures in ancient Greece and Rome; essays were required to pass the test.

Minerval Seals of the Illuminati: two of three known to still exist. P.M.C.V. stands for Per Me Caeci Vident (Through me the blind become sighted). An owl holding an opened book (signifying learning), surrounded by a Laurel wreath (a symbol of learning or graduation); Per Me Caeci Vident was a reminder to the Superiors of the class, whose responsibility it was to properly instruct the Minervals. These medallions were worn around the necks of Minerval initiates.

Today the owl is used as the primary symbol for the Bohemian Grove Campground where royalty, presidents, prime ministers, businessmen and media figures meet in secret each year.  The event has been reported by the press occasionally in the past [9] but the general public remain unaware that some of the world’s most powerful men conduct a symbolic fire ritual, called the Cremation of Care, including a mock human sacrifice, in front of a giant owl each summer in California [10].  Bohemian Grove is one of many secret meetings which are attended by those who decide the global agenda in the present day.

The Age of Reason

Adam Weishaupt was operating 230 years after Copernicus had shown that the earth was not, as had previously been thought, at the centre of universe and 140 years after the Roman Catholic Church had put Galileo under house arrest for supporting Copernicus’ ideas.  This period in history is known as the Enlightenment; 150 years earlier Francis Bacon had for the first time outlined the scientific method and the intellectual elite was moving away from a spiritual understanding of the universe and towards a rational, scientific understanding of natural forces.  Reason became a new faith, the philosophers of the Enlightenment reasoned that the physics of Newton might become applicable in all fields of endeavour and transform society.

In 1980 a monument to the age of reason called the Georgia Guidestones was constructed in the style of a modern day Stonehenge with numerous astronomical alignments.  The four outer stones are oriented to mark the limits of the 18.6 year lunar declination cycle.  The centre column features a hole through which the North Star can be seen regardless of time, as well as a slot that is aligned with the Sun's solstices and equinoxes.  A 7/8 inch aperture in the capstone allows a ray of sun to pass through at noon each day, shining a beam on the centre stone indicating the day of the year [11].  The message at the top of the central stone is shown below:

The Georgia Guidestones were erected by the Rosicrucians [13], who are members of another secret society originating from the Knights Templar.  A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones; a new set of 10 commandments for the age of reason.  The first guideline is to maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature, which would require the present global population to be reduced by 90%.

Those who have considered how the Illuminati might go about reducing the global population have found evidence that people's fertility is being secretly destroyed by certain vaccines.   In its 1968 yearly report, the Rockefeller Foundation acknowledged funding the development of so-called “anti-fertility vaccines” and their implementation on a mass-scale “(…) several types of drugs are known to diminish male fertility, but those that have been tested have serious problems of toxicity. Very little work is in progress on immunological methods, such as vaccines, to reduce fertility, and much more research is required if a solution is to be found here.” [13]

In 1994, the World Health Organization gave many women in developing countries aged between 15 and 45 a tetanus vaccine containing a birth control drug.  An organization known as The Comite became suspicious of the protocols surrounding the vaccines and obtained several vials for testing. It was discovered that some of the vials contained human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a naturally occurring hormone essential for maintaining a pregnancy.  However, when combined with a tetanus toxoid carrier, this vaccine essentially causes a woman’s body to produce antibodies against pregnancy, forcing her body to abort her unborn baby.  Curiously, no men, boys or babies were vaccinated during the program.  The only people vaccinated with this particular vaccine were women aged between 15 and 45.  If The Comite had not become suspicious, then no one would have been any wiser. [14]

Israel’s government admitted in January 2013 that it had sterilised women without their knowledge using injections [15] and in July 2013 the Japanese government withdrew its support for the Gardasil vaccine siting infertility as one of the side effects. [16]

The MMR vaccine is suspected to cause autism, which is one way to stop a person reproducing.  In the early part of 2013 the UK National Health Service was caught faking a measles outbreak in South Wales, with the apparent intention to persuade parents to have their children injected with the MMR vaccine.  The BBC retracted on-line news reports to help cover up the scam after it was reported by independent on-line journalists [17].

People are also concerned that genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are secretly being introduced into the food supply for the purposes of causing infertility.  In May 2014 The Wall Street Journal reported "Claims That U.S. Soybeans Cause Infertility Stoke China’s GMO Battle" [18]

Part 7 will look at a little more of the current Freemason/Illuminati efforts to bring in a New World Order.
